The app was inspired by Kim Kardashian & Amber Roses' emoji App. They have created emoji apps that embody the current culture and society that they are in and I felt the urge to do the same for the African community. Africans are extremely expressive and cultural individuals and you see that within our behaviour and speech, and what could be more appropriate than creating an app that embodies this and enables Africans all over the world to add a bit of funk to our conversations!
OMOJÍ represents the everyday African (mainly Nigerian & Ghanian to start off with as I am Nigerian). I wanted to create expressions, in the form of emojis, that encapsulate our language, speech, food, behaviour, facial expressions, catch phrases and personality influences.
It's a fun app that will spice up our conversations and make our expressions more relatable in the sense that we can just tap an icon in the OMOJÍ bar and it'll perfectly represent and capture ur feeling or saying at that point in time.
